Meet Love Bot No01. LB1

Lovebot Number 1: LB1 started it all. They were made to promote joy and togetherness in a time of great division. The orginal ambassador of love. I can no longer create this bot. The materials were gifted to me by my mother and she aquired them many years ago. There are a total of four LB1 bots in exsistance.

Meet Love Bot No02. LB2

LB2 is usually made from reclaimed curly clary walnut. A lot of the walnut I buy was originally cut to become gunstock. You can feel good knowing that this timber has taken a new less distructive path. LB2 has an anchor moasic pin inlay and an old fork. They are the ambassadors of love, and they forking love you.

Burl Bots are made of different figured hardwoods or burl. They have different high end inlaid material like Banksia Pod, red stone, turquoise, abalone or mother of pearl. The options are endless. Their purpose is to help reestablish the happiness and imagination of your inner child. Can you feel it?

Meet Botanical Burl Bot Leucanthemum ×superbum. The Shasta Daisy. AKA The Dreamer No01

Botanical Burl bots are made from various burl BP wood with dried botanicals set within entropy bio based resin. They also have high end inlay material like turquious wrapped in brass and oher moasic pins of brass, steel and copper. They are made to promote happiness and awaken slumbering imaginations.

Meet Botanical Burl Bot Taraxacum. The Dandelion Bot.. AKA The Keeper of Wishes No01

This Botanical Burl Bot is the keeper of wishes. it is made from Australian Brown Mallee burl. They can hold as many wishes as you want to make and then some. This bot lives in the realm of manifestation.

Meet Botanical Burl Bot Nigella Damascena. AKA Devil-in-a-Bush/Love-in-a-Mist No02

This bot is made of Australian Red Mallee burl with a spalted maple head. It has mosaic pin inlays of brass and steel. This is my wife’s favorite.

Meet Cirsium vulgare (bull thistle) Thistle Bot No01

A peaceful warrior of gratitude.

Thistle Bot No01 is made from red Mallee Burl with two perfect Cirsium Thistles set in Entropy Bio Casting Epoxy. The components on the head and feet are Figured Bolivian Purple Heart. The inlays are mosaic pins made of brass, copper and steel. The right upper arm has a wonderful Tree of Life mosaic pin inlay. This bot is carrying a pendant made from the same Bolivian Purple Heart with a hand inlaid and scrimshawed piece of Mastodon Ivory. It has a modified version of the Ca flag per the clients request. I love how this bot finished and photographed, therefore I have included another image to the right. Enjoy!

Meet Botanical Burl Bot Ammobium Alatum No02 Winged Everlasting

The body of this bot was hand crafted from an extremely unique piece of York Gum Burl. I've not seen one with this kind of figure before (it looks like a moon rock). There are only three bots that I was able to create with this unique burl. The flowers in its abdomen are Ammobium Alatum (Winged Everlasting) which are set within Entropy Bio Epoxy. The head is made from California Curly Claro Walnut which was originally cut and sold with the intention of becoming gun stock. It always feels good to know that this precious timber is going to have a more productive and peaceful path. Its left eye was made from Vasticola burl and its right eye was made from brown Mallee burl. Behind the eyes are hand cut white True Stone with golden webbing. The feet and head were adorned with figured Bolivian Purpleheart that under the right light has an amazing chatoyant iridescence. The inlays are mosaic pins constructed of steel. This bot has the handle of an antique fork for its left hand. Winged Everlasting… I like that. This might be my most favorite bot yet.

Meet Botanical Burl Bot Ammobium Alatum No01 Winged Everlasting

This is Botanical Burl Bot Ammobium Alatum, Winged Everlasting. The body of this one of a kind bot is hand crafted from Vasticola Burl harvested from southeastern Australia. The contrast between the heart wood and the sap wood is something special. Its head was shaped from Red Mallee burl and has a very different shape than the other bots that I’ve made. Its face is rounded with a rugged live edge back. The eyes were made from the same Vasticola burl on its left and Yellow Box burl on its right. Behind the eyes I have hand cut and placed True Stone Arizona Jade. Within the abdomen of this bot are delicate Ammobium Altum flowers “winged everlasting” set within Entropy Bio Epoxy. The inlays are Turquoise wrapped in brass and a small touch of mother of pearl. The feet and head also have a bit of figured Bolivian Purpleheart which in the right light has a wonderful chatoyant iridescence. To me, this bot represents the rediscovery of childhood imagination and wonder—I hope it allows you to tap into yours.

Botanical Burl Bot Ammobium Alatum, Winged Everlasting #3 -The Gentile Giant-

Manifested in Santa Cruz and documented at the the Salton Sea.

Ingredients: Red Mallee Burl, Brown Mallee Burl. Figured Bolivian Purpleheart. The eyes are made from Cholla cactus skeletons, mother of pearl and Entropy bio resin. This bot stands two full inches taller than normal around 14” tall. This bot has turquoise inlays with mosaic pins of brass, copper and steel. The head is full of live edge burl pins.

This Bot has a body made from Australian Brown Mallee, a head that is made from Curly Claro Walnut and eyes made from Brown Mallee and mother of pearl. The epoxy is Entropy Bio Resin. There is also Bolivian Purpleheart that has an amazing Chtoyance in the right light, The inlays are mosaic pins made from steel, brass and copper.
